Questions

Does Markoten sell software?

No. It is a directory. Any purchase is made with the seller directly, on their terms, and we take no commission on it.

Why is a product listed when the company never signed up?

So the catalogue was useful before anyone had joined. Those entries are marked unclaimed and say plainly that we wrote them and the seller has not endorsed us. Any company can take theirs over, correct it, or have it removed.

Can a company pay to rank higher?

No. Paying puts a listing on the site and never buys a position in it. Sellers pay a flat fee and nothing on what they sell, so there is no product we earn more from.

Are the prices current?

Each listing shows when its prices were last read off the seller’s own page. They can change at any time, so check the seller before you rely on a figure.
